This durable, superbly constructed hardwood sun lounger is beautifully crafted from a Grade A hardwood (Yellow Balau).
Balau wood is generally used for heavy construction especially in humid conditions often where there is contact with the ground. This wood is used among other things for bridges, rail road sleepers, electric poles, flooring, and boats.
We say the Balau wood used for this Sun Lounger is stronger and harder than many of the 'farmed Teak' Sun Loungers currently on offer at far higher prices.
Importantly, the Yellow Balau used for the manufacture of this sun lounger originates from government managed sustainable forests in Myanmar.

I purchased two loungers plus cushions and covers and was delighted with the items when they arrived. Although the instructions are just pictures, they were fairly easy to assemble and they look fantastic. My husband thought I'd spent a small fortune and was amazed at the price considering their quality.
Being a larger person, I wanted something sturdy and, believe me, these are Strong !! Should last for years. They came already treated so shouldn't need doing again for another year and we particularly liked the way the table can be pulled out to the left or right - something I wasn't sure of.
These are by far the best thing I could have bought and Trueshopping are a company I shall use again and again. |

Have put the sun lounger together within 30 minutes, and that's with a 2 year old helping. It seems very well made and looks far more expensive. The drinks tray can support the weight of said 2 year old which is encouraging. Don't be put off about the 'home assembly required'. The base comes fitted together. All that is required is to put the legs, wheels, drinks tray and armrests on. Having said that, be prepared for a heavy 8x3ft package to arrive.
The cushion (which I couldn't find through Amazon - see a well known auction site) fits well and has plenty of ties to keep it in position.
It's only 24hr old, so can't give any info about how the wood will survive the British weather. |

Product looks great when assembled and oiled. Unfortunately, what is NOT CLEAR in the Amazon ad is that it's not supplied with a cushion. They cost another £40 from their website.
Also two broken parts delivered (drinks tray and the support for the backrest, so it can't be used yet). I reported this and they replied immediately with a request for a photo, which I supplied. That was earlier today, they have acknowledged and said they have ordered replacements.
Follow up is that replacement received within 3 days of original complaint - so excellent service! |

This piece of furniture is the best thing in my garden come bbq time (and that includes the guests). It takes some putting together, but nothing hard, an idiot could handle putting it together.
It feels really good quality, much higher than I had imagined given the price of it. Highly recommend this furniture.
One bad point, the rope holding the cushions together snapped quite early on, but no big deal really. |
